House burns twice in one week

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A second house fire hit the same house in less than a week.

According to AFD, flames sparked up overnight Saturday at a house in the 9800 block of Pinot Noir in southwest Albuquerque.

Firefighters were at the abandoned house just four days ago, when the first fire broke out.

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, says it's obviously suspicious.

“There are a whole lot of houses that are around here that are empty that nobody bothered,” a concerned neighbor said. “Well all of a sudden they want to burn this house up."

AFD says the fires are under investigation.

There have been reports of squatters staying at the house, but the neighbor said he has not noticed any homeless people staying there.
