ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Federal prosuectors want to keep 31-year-old Anthony Garcia locked up. Garcia is the grocery store worker accused of duping a customer at Sunflower Market in January into sampling semen by telling her it was yogurt.
DNA tests confirmed it was his semen, investigators have said.
This week agents with the U.S. Department of Agriculture arrested Garcia for food tampering, a federal felony.
The feds say he has been exposing himself and masturbating in public for years. Back in 2001 police believe Garcia was masturbatinging outside an apartment complex and LBJ Middle School.
Then in 2004, he was arrested for walking around Walmart on CoorsBoulevard near Interstate 40 for a half hour, with his penis hanging out of his pants. He was convicted and put on probation.
Last September on a bosque trail in the North Valley, a female jogger told police Garcia exposed himself to her. Garcia told police he was urinating.
He is due in court Friday morning where prosecutors will seek to keep him locked up, saying he is a flight risk and a danger to society.
Garcia is also awaiting trial on child molestation charges from before he was hired by Sunflower. Those charges are still pending.
