Rail runner sees increase in ridership

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - More people are riding the New Mexico rail runner then ever before.

Commuter service from Belen to Santa Fe had more riders last month than in any previous month.

A rail runner spokeswoman said the 15 percent increase was probably linked to higher gas prices.

Weekend ridership was also up last month.
