Talachy elected as Pojoaque Lt. Gov

POJOAQUE PUEBLO, N.M. (KRQE) - Joseph Talachy, 28, has been elected to replace Linda Diaz as the Lieutenant Governor of the Pojoaque Pueblo.

A federal jury convicted Diaz last month of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and failing to render aid.

She struck and killed Phillip Espinoza, 31, on the pueblo last spring and then took off.

Diaz faces three years in prison when she's sentenced in June.
