ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Voters casting ballots across the stated are deciding some of the liveliest races in the 2012 primary.
Just more than 39,000 voted in person Tuesday with another 30,000 absentee and early voters out of the nearly 320,000 eligible in Bernalillo County.
Only registered democrats or a republicans could vote Tuesday.
This is also the first primary that Bernalillo County voters were allowed to cast ballots at any of the 69 polling locations across the city, rather than voting in specific precincts.
Early and absentee votes are in, but there are still almost 40,000 ballots from Bernalillo County that haven't been counted yet.
