ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Rail Runner Express commuter trains will begin stopping for passengers near Santo Domingo Pueblo on March 22, the same day a new schedule takes effect.

Called Kewa Station after the traditional name for the pueblo, the new station is just outside the pueblo at the former railroad community of Domingo Junction.

The station and 50-car parking lot intended to serve Santo Domingo and Cochiti pueblos and the towns of Cochiti Lake and Peña Blanca, was built with $2.1 million in federal stimulus money, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

A second new station is to be built at Sandia Pueblo near the junction of State Road 313 and Roy Road.

Also on March 22 current schedules will change. The schedules as well as fares and other information are available on the Rail Runner Express Web site or can be downloaded in PDF format by clicking on these links:
