"He's not my favorite person," pundit James Carville said of fellow Democrat Gov. Bill Richardson on Saturday. "I don't pretend he's any kind of friend of mine, but I don't wish him any ill, either."
Carville spoke to News 13 at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, where he was speaking about healthcare on Saturday.
Carville refused to comment on the ongoing federal investigation into pay-to-play allegations involving some of Richardson's top aides, except to say it's important to remember Richardson has not been accused of anything.
During last year's presidential campaign, Carville compared Richardson to Judas after Richardson endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama over then-Sen. Hillary Clinton. Richardson had served in several positions under her husband, President Bill Clinton.
"I was quoted accurately and in context," Carville said on his Judas comment.
Carville said Richardson's résumé is still valuable to Democrats on the national scale.
