McLEAN, Va. (KRQE) - Congresswoman Heather Wilson on Tuesday was awarded the CIA's Agency Seal Medal for her service on a Congressional intelligence committee, according to a news release from her office.

Wilson served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and chaired its Subcommittee on Technical and Tactical Intelligence.

The Agency Seal Medal is awarded to people outside the CIA who have made significant contributions to its work, according to the CIA's Web site.

Wilson is leaving Congress at the end of this term after 10 years in office. She had run for the Republican nomination for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Pete Domenici, but lost the primary.
