NM Senate Majority leader Michael Sanchez, D-Belen, is looking at a run for governor in 2010.
There had been some buzz about a possible run for Sanchez earlier this year, but for awhile it looked like he had decided against it.
However, the Belen Democrat's Facebook page said he has formed an exploratory committee.
Lt. Gov Diane Denish, D, is already running for the office, and has reportedly collected $1.7 million for her campaign.
On the Republican side, National Guard Brigadier General Greg Zanetti will run, and former NM GOP Chairman Allen Weh has formed an exploratory committee.
