Heinrich works on health care bill

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Congressman Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., is working to make sure Native Americans are covered in the health insurance reform bill.

Saturday, the New Mexico Democrat met with local Native American Health Officials.

On Friday, Heinrich secured language in the House's version of the health reform bill that would reauthorize the Indian Health Care Improvement Act.

The House bill must be reconciled with the Senate's bill before being debated in both Chambers for possible passage.
