PORTALES, N.M. (AP) - Portales officials are trying to rebuild the city's Web site after it crashed, and they're finding out it's no easy task.
It was back in August when the site that serves the various functions of the city went down and, ever since, it's been city employees that have been painstakingly trying to reconstruct it.
They're taking a complicated site, writing down the gist of each department page on a corresponding sticky note and putting it on a huge poster board.
One of the first steps was to get an idea of what was needed, and that's where the giant visual aid comes in.
The city's community affairs coordinator, Nicole Wilkening, is asking everyone to be patient as city staff input information into the various department pages as they rebuild the site.
