ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico lawmakers are debating on a state budget proposal that could bring nearly $6 billion to New Mexico next year to fix roads.
The money would also be shared with public schools and other government programs.
If it goes through, public employees could get their first across-the-board pay raises since 200 and it could increase child care assistance to low-income families by $22 million.
