ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Other people in New Mexico put their votes for former governor Gary Johnson, who did not quite reach his goal.

Johnson was running as a libertarian and he was trying to get five percent of the popular vote so the party could get federal election funding.

In the end though Johnson got just one percent, about a million votes and now he has another goal.

“I hope we get recognized as a spoiler tonight,” Johnson said. “That's what I’m hoping because you go from being an annoyance to a spoiler to a player.”
