SANTA FE (KRQE) - Gun-rights supporters armed with weapons and placards rallied outside the Roundhouse during the legislative session Friday.

The rally began at 10 a.m. and was to run until 1 p.m.

Some state legislators and a representative from the Gun Owners of America were on hand.

The Legislature is discussing tightening gun laws in New Mexico to include expanding background checks to gun shows and other private sales.
