ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Bernalillo County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver says the convenience of vote anywhere locations has a lot to do with a big early voting turnout so far. In all, there are 429,000 registered voters in Bernalillo county. As of Thursday, the county had collected over 101,000 of those votes. That number is expected to jump on Friday and Saturday, the last two days available to vote early.

"It's that last opportunity to get an early ballot in," says Bernalillo County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver. "Just want to encourage voters, you know if they've been thinking about voting early, maybe don't want to deal with election day, having to figure out where to go, there's still plenty of time, plenty of opportunity. The waits at our early voting locations have been really short..."

The polling locations will close at 8 p.m. on Saturday night for early voting and re-open on Election day, Tuesday morning at 7 a.m.

To check out which is the fastest polling location for you to head to, there's an application for smartphones that is available for download from the clerk's office.
