DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) - Durango city councilors have banned smoking in some public places.
The ban takes effect Dec. 5 and covers city parks, bus stops, picnic pavilions and the Animas River Trail.
Violators can be fined $100 for their first offense and up to $300 after that.
