ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Santa Fe New Mexican is reporting the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has canceled a week's worth of advertising for U.S. Senate candidate Martin Heinrich.
A source says the committee still has about $1.8 million in reserved advertising time this fall in case his opponent, Republican Heather Wilson, starts showing more strength in the race.
Last month, the national Republican Senatorial Committee canceled $3 million in advertising for Wilson as polls showed her trailing in Heinrich. A recent poll showed him with a seven-point lead.
