ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Former President Bill Clinton will be in northern New Mexico next month to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Diane Denish, her campaign announced Thursday.
Clinton is scheduled to appear at an Oct. 14 rally in Española. The event, scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the Española Plaza, is open to the public.

Democrat Denish, currently the state's lieutenant governor, is running against Republican Susana Martinez, the district attorney of Doña Ana County.
