ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The city of Albuquerque said the economy is picking up a little, and there won't be a need for layoffs or more pay cuts.
The mayor's office said sales tax revenue was up 3 percent in June and July over the same months last year. That's what the mayor's office budgeted for this year.
If the upward trend continues, jobs and salaries should be safe for the next year, the mayor's office said.
