ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Two Albuquerque fire stations could soon be on the real estate market.
That is because the city council is expected to vote on a request Monday from the mayor to name fire station two off of Lead and Broadway and fire station seven on 47th Street as non-essential.
The mayor's office says the two stations are small and outdated and it will cost too much to renovate.
A spokesperson with the mayor's office says two new stations in the same areas will go into commission in late December.
