ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man KRQE News 13 caught s elling counterfeit sports jerseys out of the back of his car last month also ran a racy Web site featuring vulgar and off-color postings, according to an internal city investigation.
The “Albuquerque Fantasy Football League” Web site boasts “the babe of the day” and often features sexual content too obscene to show on television. The site makes light of domestic violence, child abuse and sex with underage girls, as well as portraying women in numerous sexual positions.
Among the poster-like offerings: a picture of a young girl with a black eye with this headline: “Domestic Abuse – Because a Man Shouldn’t Have to Repeat Himself;” a picture of two small boys in a dog cage with the accompanying tag “Discipline – You Know They Deserve It;” and a picture of three young girls wearing tank-tops with the tag: “Sometimes You Just Want to Break the Law.”
At the bottom of the page is a prompt to contact the site’s webmaster. Click on it and it links to Trey Flynt’s personal e-mail address.
Flynt is an investigator with the City of Albuquerque’s Independent Review Office, which looks into citizen complaints against the Albuquerque Police Department. During an undercover investigation last month, News 13’s Kim Holland caught Flynt selling counterfeit NFL jerseys out of the trunk of his car.
City investigators suspect Flynt might have been selling the jerseys while on city time.
Flynt is currently on administrative leave over the jerseys. An internal investigation into his activities has been completed but hasn’t been made public yet.
Online, Flynt claimed he started the fantasy football Web site in 1993 after having a few beers at Hooters restaurant.
News 13 sent Flynt an e-mail this week asking to talk to him about the Web site, but he didn’t respond.
