(KRQE NEWS 13) - Albuquerque police obtained a search warrant late Thursday for a home at one end of a trail of bloody footprints leading to the nearby body of a woman found dead on the sidewalk.

As of 5:39 p.m. - A new online and phone system designed to allow crime victims to monitor inmates and alleged offenders , was unveiled today in the 13th Judicial District covering Sandoval, Cibola and Valencia counties.

As of 4:48 p.m. - This year's back-to-school season isn't as big a bust for retailers as they feared — or as last year's — but it's not great either.

As of 3:52 p.m. - Samsung Electronics Co. on Thursday unveiled a new tablet PC named Galaxy Tab as the latest device meant to rival Apple Inc.'s popular iPad.

As of 8:36 a.m. - The bomb squad finally disrupted -  which means they safely detonated them - the pipe bombs found in Rio Rancho. Police have two male suspects in custody, a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old.

As of 8:29 a.m. - The federal government has signed off on $65 million in aid to New Mexico to help public schools avoid deep budget cuts this year.

As of 7:51 a.m. - Sandia National Laboratories plans to conduct two controlled explosive tests sometime between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Sandia’s Coyote test field on the south side of Kirtland Air Force Base.

As of 7:32 a.m. - The number of people requesting unemployment benefits declined for the second straight week, suggesting that the slowing economy isn't prompting widespread job cuts.

As of 7:27 a.m. - While serving a warrant at the Arrowhead Ridge Apartments in Rio Rancho around midnight, police found two pipe bombs in the apartment.

As of 7:17 a.m. - A new Treasury Department program to give people without bank accounts faster access to their tax refunds

will help some avoid costly short-term loans.

As of 7:02 a.m. - A newspaper delivery man discovered a woman lying on the sidewalk covered in blood at around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.
