As of 5:41 p.m. - A pair of Albuquerque police officers checking on a mother who failed to pick her kids up from school found a baby covered in feces and gagged with a used wipe in their home, police said Wednesday.

As of 5:10 p.m. - The New Mexico National Guard has deployed 82 troops along the border with Mexico to increase surveillance.
