(KRQE NEWS 13) - An Albuquerque police officer is in the hospital and the guard dog who took bite out of his leg is dead after being shot during a drug raid Monday.

As of 3:52 p.m. - Proposed changes to the state medical-marijuana program are up for review at a public hearings scheduled for Sept. 29 and 30.

As of 3:18 p.m. - Food and Drug Administration investigators have found rodents, seeping manure and even maggots at the Iowa egg farms believed to be responsible for as many as 1,500 cases of salmonella poisoning.

As of 3:15 p.m. - Separate field days for peanut growers and specialists are planned in eastern New Mexico and western Texas where growers annually produce 123 million pounds of peanuts with an estimated value of $37 million.

As of 2:41 p.m. - Damning allegations that Pakistan players took money to fix matches and play poorly could be great for the sport if they can be proved. That's because match-fixing, shady people and shady money in cricket are boils that have long needed lancing.

As of 2:34 p.m. - A retired lawyer living in Santa Fe pleaded guilty Monday to receiving child pornography , the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

As of 2:22 p.m. - Just before midnight Sunday night, police encountered a woman who had allegedly stabbed a man after he got into an argument with her boyfriend.

As of 1:54 p.m. -  Mexico's federal police agency has fired nearly 10 percent of its force this year for failing lie detector tests or other checks designed to detect possible corruption, officials said Monday.

As of 1:27 p.m. -  A woman who killed her husband and later her boyfriend by poisoning them with antifreeze has died in an Atlanta prison.

As of 11:50 a.m. - After police arrested Socorro Ortiz, 58, on Saturday for allegedly drunk driving, officers found that Ortiz had a few prior drunk driving convictions.

As of 11:35 a.m. - BP PLC says high seas on the Gulf of Mexico have delayed operations to raise the piece of equipment from the seabed that failed to prevent the massive oil spill.

As of 9:34 a.m. - Americans spent last month at the fastest pace in four months, helped by a jump in demand for automobiles.

As of 8:54 a.m. - Hurricane Earl lashed northern Leeward Islands with heavy rain and strong winds Monday after strengthening into a Category 2 storm.

As of 8:48 a.m. - Just before midnight Sunday night, police encountered a woman who had allegedly stabbed her attacker in her home. There is a press conference at 1:30 p.m on Monday explaining the incident.
