LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Friends and relatives of a Las Cruces carpet-cleaning business owner who performed as motorcycle stunt driver are mourning his death.
Police say 25-year-old Andrew Jaramillo was killed early Thursday morning when he crashed his 2005 Kawasaki near his home.
The Las Cruces Sun-News (http://bit.ly/10O2u3v ) reports that investigators suspect that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
Police say witnesses told officers they saw Jaramillo performing stunts on a street before the crash.
Police say Jaramillo hit a pickup truck driven by a friend and that Jaramillo and his motorcycle then crashed through a chain link fence and into a tree in front of a home.
Jaramillo showcased his skills for parties and other events.
