TUCUMCARI, N.M. (AP) — Driving conditions are improving on New Mexico highways following a winter storm that left snow and ice on some routes, particularly in northern and eastern parts of the state.
The Department of Transportation is scaling back and deleting advisories of difficult conditions that were reported earlier on Interstate 40 on both sides of Tucumcari.
The storm affected students in Albuquerque. The public school district and the University of New Mexico are both delaying the start of their school days by two hours.
