ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A ticket sold in New Mexico for the multi-state Hot Lotto drawing won the $1.1 million jackpot for Wednesday's drawing.
According to charts on the Hot Lotto Web site, New Mexico's winning ticket is the only winning ticket for the drawing.
Adriana Binns, spokesperson for the New Mexico Lottery, would not say where in New Mexico the winning ticket was sold. Often, officials don't release that information so it can be used to help verify the winner.
The winning numbers were 5, 17, 23, 29 and 39, with a Hot Ball of 15.
Lottery officials are urging the winner to sign the ticket immediately and meet with an attorney or financial advisor before contacting the lottery.
The winner has 90 days to claim the prize in person at the New Mexico Lottery's headquarters in Albuquerque.
Hot Lotto is played in 14 states and the District of Columbia. It's administered by the Multi-State Lottery Association, which also administers Powerball.
Since the game was launched in New Mexico three years ago, the state has had two Hot Lotto jackpot winners. An Albuquerque man won a prize of more than $5 million in 2008.
Winning numbers are drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays soon after the Powerball numbers are drawn. The jackpot for Saturday's drawing was reset to $1 million.
