ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - A judge declared a mistrial in a case against a driver accused of killing a bicyclist in Albuquerque.
The mistrial came after a jury failed to reach a verdict against Miranda Pacheco.
The Albuquerque Journal reports that (http://bit.ly/nzsvag) state District Judge Denise Barela Shepherd declared a mistrial Monday in the case.
Pacheco was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving recklessly.
Authorities say Pacheco's car crossed several lanes in March 2010, went over an embankment, crashed through a fence and fatally hit 56-year-old bicyclist David Anderson.
Anderson had been riding his bicycle along a path.
Pacheco told sheriff's deputies someone had cut her off, and that her car blew a tire when changed lanes to avoid a collision.
