TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. (KRQE) - Officials have taken the next step in the completion of the New Mexico spaceport.
The Spaceport Authority voted Wednesday to purchase a six and a quarter acre parcel about half a mile off of I-25 for the welcome center in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
However the board rejected a proposed site of a second welcome center in Hatch, New Mexico saying it lacked key infrastructure.
The board will keep working with Hatch to find a suitable location.
