GALLUP, N.M. (AP) - The remains of a Tohatchi man who has been missing since 2010 have been found in a field near the flea market in Gallup.
The Gallup Independent reports that the remains of 29-year-old Alarik Tsosie were discovered by a man hiking with his dogs on Thursday.
McKinley County Sheriff's Office deputy Robert Turney found a weathered and degraded human skull and scattered bones near the top of a rocky hill.
Tsosie's wallet was found in a pair of tattered jeans and his family was notified of the discovery on Friday.
The sheriff's office hasn't released how they believe Tsosie died.
