EDDY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) - State police said a speeding semi-truck crashed Friday in Eddy County, resulting in the death of the driver.
Cruz Mendoza, 39, of Lovington was driving south on State Road 360 when he tried to make a left hand turn.
Investigators said he was going too fast.
The truck rolled onto its right side, pinning Mendoza in the cab.
Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said he was speeding and was not wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol was not a factor.
