ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Some good news for the horse that survived after being shot in the neck, she now has a new home.

Two boys found the injured mare south of Roswell late last month.

The single bullet just missed her spine and esophagus.

Authorities say the 15-year-old horse was picked up by her new owners Sunday.

They say her new owner is An Equine Masseuse in Roswell who takes in abused animals.

There is still a $3,500 reward leading to the arrest of the person who shot the animal.
