ELIDA, N.M. (KRQE) - A 71-year-old man from Elida, N.M. came forward Monday with the winning ticket for a recent Hot Lotto drawing worth up to $1.1 million.
Aurbra King, 71, opted to take the prize's pre-tax cash option of around $720,000.
He had the nation's only ticket matching the winning numbers of 5, 17, 23, 29, 39 and a Hot Ball of 15 from last Wednesday's drawing.
The winner discovered he'd won the jackpot almost two days after the drawing.
"Things like this, they don’t get me too excited," King said.
King said he plans to share the money with his many children and grandchildren.
