FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) - San Juan County investigators are trying to figure out what caused a mobile home fire that killed two people overnight.
Deputies first responded to the mobile home on county road 5582 between Farmington and Bloomfield around 4:30 Sunday morning.
That's where they found the home fully engulfed in flames, with a man outside claiming two other people were still inside.
Deputies were able to make their way inside the home, where they found two other people a man and a woman unconscious inside.
Efforts to save those two were not successful.
Dustin Davis, 21, of Farmington and Audrey Dawes, 21, of Aztec were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 20-year-old found outside the home when deputies arrived was flown to an Albuquerque hospital for treatment of his injuries.
No word yet on how the fire began.
