LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) - One person is in critical condition after a fiery plane crash at the Las Vegas Municipal Airport in northern New Mexico.
According to the New Mexico Department of Public Safety's Twitter page, a man pulled a woman from the burning wreckage of a small plane after it crashed around 10:20 a.m. Friday. It's not clear what led to the crash.
Both were airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, where one of them is in critical condition.
Their names have not been released, nor has the condition of the other victim.
State and federal transportation officers are investigating the crash, said Peter Olson with New Mexico State Police.
