LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) - New details today about a road rage incident that turned deadly Monday night in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
The accused killer 21-year old Richard Baca claims the victim Benito Lemos got out of his car and told Baca he almost hit him with his car.
When Baca said it wasn't his fault, Lemos allegedly punched him in the face several times.
According to his statement, Baca warned Lemos he had a gun, but Lemos continued to hit him.
Police say that's when Baca shot Lemos in the chest.
He's now charged with an open count of murder.
