ANGEL FIRE, N.M. (KRQE) - The visitor's center at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Angel Fire is closing for renovations on Monday.
The $855,000 dollar project will expand the center.
All other facilities at the park will remain open, including the grounds and the chapel.
Park staff will continue providing guided tours at 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer.
Special events on July 4th and Veteran's Day will still be held.
This is the second phase of renovations to the memorial, and it's expected last nine months.
In the first phase last year, the monument itself was upgraded.
