ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Victims of convicted Ponzi schemer Doug Vaughan are banding together to fight a new problem.
Vaughan is facing up to 12 years in prison for stealing $74 million from investors.
A group of his victims have launched a website saying they’re being accused by the bankruptcy trustee of knowing about Vaughan’s scheme.
The group says they’re being sued to recover the monthly interest payments they received over several years.
An attorney has been hired on the group’s behalf and they’re looking for other victims of Vaughan to join their fight.
