SANTA FE (KRQE) - Two people working on a gas line in Santa Fe are recovering from burn injuries after an explosion.
The New Mexico Gas Company employees were working in a residential area near Placita de Luna and Camino Francisca when flames shot up in the air just before 7 p.m. Wednesday, The Santa Fe New Mexican reported.
The fire spread to a backhoe and ignited a small brush fire. The blaze was contained once the gas company shut off the line.
Several homes were evacuated as a precaution.
