State deals with payroll glitch, again

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - There has been another state payroll glitch and this time state vendors will be the ones affected.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican errors in the state accounting system are the source of the problem.

Officials say paychecks to state employees are expected to go out as usual on Friday, but checks to those doing work or services for the state could be delayed by more than a week.

Thousands of employees were issued incorrect checks earlier this year.

That forced the state to sign an emergency contract with a company to fix the problems.
