ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A southeast New Mexico jail, known for problems like inmate fights and escapes, just lost another leader.
The Clovis News Journal reports Curry County's fourth jail administrator in three years was fired.
Administrator Gerry Billy was ousted in a four-to-one vote by county commissioners.
He was escorted out by sheriff's deputies.
Billy was an Ohio sheriff before taking the curry county job last February.
The county manager and sheriff will run the jail until a replacement is found.
