SANTA FE (KRQE) - A missing Santa Fe girl is now safe as police continue to look for her mother's boyfriend accused of taking off with the 4-year-old during a domestic dispute.
New Mexico State Police reported early Thursday that Samuel Quezada had dropped Alexandria Bliss Smith off at her grandfather's house.
According to investigators Quezada, 31, and the girl's mother quarreled around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cotton Wood Mobile Home Park in Santa Fe County. Quezada then took the girl and left.
Police suspect he may now be headed to Colorado in a primer-black 1990 Honda Accord with a temporary Colorado registration tag.
Quezada is described as 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds with brown hair, a short, brown beard and hazel eyes.
