ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Investigators say an unidentified man was crossing Rio Bravo near Poco Loco in Southwest Albuquerque around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was hit by a truck going westbound.
The victim died at the scene.
Deputies had Rio Bravo closed from Isleta Boulevard to Second Street for a number of hours until 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
The identities of the victim and the driver have not be released.
Deputies have also not said if the driver will be cited in the incident. They also add they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident, but the investigation will continue on Thursday.
