ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Federal trappers captured a Mexican female wolf responsible for killing cows in Southwestern New Mexico.
The wolf was caught Wednesday and will be transported to a holding facility for observation.
The wolf will then go to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center.
For weeks trappers had been combing the northwestern portion of the Gila National Forest for any signs of the wolf.
