VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) - A Valencia County Sheriff's Deputy was hurt in a crash near Belen Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Rene Rivera said Deputy Frank Methola and a reserve deputy were responding to a call and running with lights and siren around 3:00 p.m. when his patrol car collided with another car at an intersection in Rio Communities.
Ambulances took both deputies to the hospital. The injuries are not life threatening.
The driver of the other car was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
