RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - Rio Rancho police said two people were seen fleeing the scene of a rollover early Thursday morning that killed an 18-year-old man.

A police officer on patrol saw the crash near Rainbow Boulevard north of King Boulevard in northeastern Rio Rancho around 1:15 a.m.

The officer found the body of Jesse Long, 18, who had been ejected from the Nissan Pathfinder as it rolled.

Officer John Francis of the Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety said Thursday afternoon that the other two men, both 18, had scaled a fence after the crash. They were later found. One has been questioned, while the other will be questioned in a few days, Francis said.

The other men's names have not been released. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation. It's not known if speed or alcohol contributed to the crash.
