One badly burned in overnight fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One person was badly burned in an apartment fire in Northeast Albuquerque overnight.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. at an apartment complex, 2632 Dallas NE Street near Menaul Blvd and Louisiana Blvd.

An elderly resident suffered burns to her back and was taken to University of New Mexico Hospital for treatment. Her condition isn't known at this time.

Officials say the complex has major damage and other occupants are displaced.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
