ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - I-25 southbound has reopened after being closed for the past couple of hours between Central and Lead/Coal exits.

Police closed the interstate about 5 a.m. Sunday because a pedestrian was hit by a car shortly after four-thirty.

The man was dead on the roadway and the driver that hit him was still at the scene.

Alcohol was not a factor. Pedestrians are not allowed on the interstates
