SANTA FE (KRQE) - It has been three years since two sisters were killed in a horrific DWI crash in Santa Fe.
Sunday night to honor them, Santa Fe police will hold a check point at the intersection where they died.
On March 5th Del and Deshauna Peshlakai were killed at the intersection of Cerillos and Cristo's after drunk driver James Ruiz’s pickup slammed into the family's vehicle.
The memorial for the sisters has been set-up at the intersection ever since.
A memorial will be held for the sisters Sunday night in addition to the honorary check-point.
