ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Dozens of people are hoping to be able to return home after fire forced them from their apartments early Friday morning.

The blaze broke out around 1 a.m. at the Three Fountains apartments on Lester Drive NE near Menaul and Wyoming boulevards.

Firefighters told KRQE News 13 they we're able to put the fire out quickly although there were intense flames.

One person was taken to a hospital for treatment of burns.  That person's condition is not known.

About 100 people had to find somewhere else to sleep.
